Starting in 1983 a mid-size compact SUV had also received the badge Jimmy (S-15 Jimmy), and both models were produced up to 1992, when the bigger brother was dropped and the S-15 Jimmy was renamed the GMC Jimmy until 2002 when its production also ended.
