The fuel delivery system of a vehicle is one of the most important systems that aims to provide the engine with a proper amount of air/fuel mixture to ensure its excellent performance. A fuel pump relay is a component of this system that has been designed to control power to the fuel pump thus allowing it to pump the fuel from the fuel tank to either the fuel injection system or carburetor depending on the fuel delivery system. Controlled by the ignition or computer, this electric component switches on to provide current to the fuel pump ensuring its reliable operation. Fuel pump relays are typically located in the fuse box installed in the engine bay. As this unit provides the fuel pump with power, any issues with it lead to issues with the pump, preventing the fuel delivery system from proper operation.

An electric fuel pump relay relies on only a few components such as the coil and contact points to provide an electric circuit. There are many signs of a malfunctioning fuel pump relay. The most common are engine stalling and noise from the fuel pump. Sometimes, the engine doesn’t start because of a non-functional fuel pump relay. This is because the fuel pump is left without power and as a result doesn’t supply the fuel. Whether you own a vehicle with a carburetor or an injection system and are looking for either a quality fuel pump relay or a premium fuel injection relay, we have you covered. It will take no time to find the right product for your four-wheel friend as we feature a user-friendly searching system.

2003 VW Jetta Fuel Pump Relay
Quality product that I used to fix my 2003 VW Jetta. I had replaced this part with an OEM part from the local auto parts store and it started fine, but when I opened the door when the car was on it turned off. I looked on a couple of VW forums and found out that a lot of people had the same issue and that the part had to be an original part from Germany. This part I ordered from CARiD worked perfect. Will continue to shop here for original parts.
