Product Details

PCV Valve by FRAM®. The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system prevents the release of harmful emissions, helps keep engine oil clean and prevents excessive crankcase pressure, which can cause oil leaks. Maintain peak PCV system performance with a FRAM PCV valve.

The PCV system takes crankcase gases created by churning oil and cylinder blow-by and directs them into the engine where they are burned along with the air/fuel mixture. This keeps harmful emissions from entering the air we breathe and prevents the buildup of crankcase pressure. The PCV valve regulates the flow of these vapors. A clogged valve can cause pressure buildup, which can in turn cause gasket failure and oil leaks, and also cause sludge buildup, which occurs when moisture remains in the crankcase and contaminates the oil. You can keep your PCV system operating properly with a FRAM PCV valve. You'll get extended oil life, an oil-tight engine, and meet emissions requirements.

FRAM® LIMITED WARRANTY

FRAM® filter products manufactured or sold by FRAM Group Operations LLC are warranted to their original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the duration of the original equipment recommended change interval and FRAM® hard parts (filters and hard parts are collectively referred to as, “Products”) are warranted to their original purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the later of the date of purchase or the date of installation. This warranty covers properly installed or utilized Products. This warranty does not cover any Product that: a) has been subject to misuse, neglect, negligence, accident or casualty; b) has been improperly installed; c) has been installed into an engine which is not referenced as a conforming application; or d) has remained in service beyond the original equipment recommended change interval.

Any Covered Product which is determined by FRAM Group Operations LLC to be defective will be replaced at no charge. In the event of an engine or equipment failure directly caused by a Covered Product, FRAM Group Operations LLC will provide the lesser of the: i) restoration of the engine or equipment to a condition equivalent to that existing just prior to the failure or ii) cash payment of the fair market value of the vehicle. To the fullest extent allowed under applicable law, FRAM Group Operations LLC disclaims all implied warranties and conditions and any and all consequential, incidental and special damages. Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of such warranties or damages, so this disclaimer may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS’ WARRANTIES

In the United States: Use of FRAM® products will not void your Original Equipment warranty. A manufacturer may not require the use of any brand of filter unless either the manufacturer provides the filter for free-of-charge under terms of the warranty or the manufacturer successfully demonstrates to the Federal Trade Commission that its product will not work properly without a specified item or service. To date, the FTC has not made any such determination for filtration products. If a manufacturer makes a claim that using a FRAM® product will void or has voided your warranty, ask the manufacturer to provide this statement in writing.

Outside of the United States: FRAM® processes warranty claims on a world-wide basis. The use of aftermarket parts during applicable warranty periods may impact the manufacturer’s warranty. Check the terms of your Original Equipment warranty which may require the use of a specific brand of filter for a valid warranty claim.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act:
