The Ford F1 was the representative of the very first Ford’s F-Series pickup line manufactured from 1948 to 1952. It was developed to replace the 1941 line that was derived from a passenger car and, consequently, couldn't boast high power and payload capacity. Accompanied by the F2, F3, and so on up to the F8, the F1 was positioned as an entry model in the line, with a payload capacity rated at 1/2 ton. Available in both 2- and 4-door versions, the model could be optionally equipped with a four-wheel drive layout. In 1952, Ford launched the second generation of the F-Series with the models being renamed the F-100, F-200, etc.
