The Ford Excursion is a heavy duty, full-sized sport utility vehicle or SUV, produced by Ford from 2000 till 2005. At the time of its release, the Excursion was the largest SUV in Ford’s lineup, and in fact one of the larger SUV’s available on the market from any manufacturer. The Excursion sold well initially, but as gas prices started to rise, sales slumped, and Ford eventually discontinued the vehicle in 2005.
