Emergency Vehicle Lights

When you're in trouble, every second counts, so the last thing you want to hear is that a police car, fire truck or ambulance, driving in response to your emergency, stuck in a traffic jam. To minimize such a possibility, all of the mentioned vehicles are equipped with emergency lights. They convey the urgency of an emergency vehicle's journey to other road users, so the latter ones have enough time to react safely and clear a path for the first-responder. Depending on the type of emergency service, it may utilize different emergency vehicle lighting equipment and color patterns.

While the colors of emergency vehicle lighting may vary from country to country and even from state to state, generally mandated colors are red, blue, and amber, as well as yellow, white, green, and purple. Each color is subject to specific regulations which serve to provide the purpose and context of the vehicle’s activity to other road users. All the colors can be conveniently classified into forward-facing and rear-facing ones, which determines their use in a specific type of warning lights found on fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and other emergency vehicles.

Every emergency service provider utilizes specific colors and their combinations to emphasize the status of its vehicles. For example, police vehicles in the United States are equipped with warning lights that use solid red, solid blue and their combinations. Many of them may also use amber or white colors, although, such lights are usually configured to face the rear of their vehicles and often come in the shape of an arrow. Fire trucks and emergency medical transport use red and white lights as main warning lighting equipment. Similar to police vehicles, they utilize rear-facing warning lights with optional colors and their combinations. This variety of color codes allows other road users to recognize the type of an emergency vehicle and its current activity.

The multiplicity of warning colors and color combinations can only be beaten by a variety of emergency lights. Love the low profile replaced the bulky light with this low profile. The magmatic feet are a lot better than the old light which had two magnate's. The flash pattern is a lot better also and visible. Highly recommend if you are looking for a non permanent mount, you can't go wrong with this particular light bar.
