    Product Details

Pro-Kit Front and Rear Lowering Coil Springs with 0.7" Front and 1.6" Rear Drop Height by Eibach®. Quantity: 4 per Pack. These performance-oriented replacement spring sets offer a lower-than-stock ride height that maintains ride comfort during normal driving while eliminating body roll, dive, and squat to create a more enjoyable level of aggressive driving.

Your performance car built in the United States, Germany, or Asia was designed to provide good handling with a comfortable ride. Manufacturers fit softer springs as a compromise to please the majority of their customers who commute every day over potholes, not the driver that wants to wring the maximum out of their vehicle’s built-in responsiveness. For those that do want crisper, sharper handling Eibach offers the Pro-Kit Lowering Kit. It drops your ride height and boosts handling from good to great without the punishing ride that comes from kits offered by competitors. Your vehicle was built with a sophisticated suspension, so don’t compromise it with a kit that causes your car to ride rough. Riding rough is for amateurs.

Dropping the ride height lowers your vehicle’s center of gravity – reducing body roll and any tendencies to lean over. Then, the progressive rate of these Eibach front springs goes to work. Unlike original equipment and some low-height springs on the market, these feature a spring rate that varies as needs demand. The top of the coil is softer for more give under everyday operation when things are not pushed hard. But just as the vehicle starts to lean when more demanding conditions arise, a stiffer and stiffer rate kicks in as the springs compress. The result is less body roll for more stable handling, faster cornering speeds, and reduced nose dive that can shorten your stopping distance. All with an uncompromised, premium ride.

Great Feel, But Not The Look as Intended for VW Jetta's
There's a reverse rake look after mounting these and letting the new B8 suspension settle in. I do have twin 12" subs in the trunk, but without it the reverse rake is still there. Great feel with little body roll but the reverse rake is killing me.

    Great Product
Perfect drop for my car, improves the look so much. Ride comfort is great compared to the drop, and they are still stiff enough to drive quickly around corners without too much body roll. Only other thing I wish came with them is TUV papers, hope these will get approved for road-use where I live.

    Alignment Required After Installation
Contrary to features information,"No wheel alignment needed after installation" is dead wrong. I had new tires installed on my Eclipse. A day later, I had a four-wheel alignment performed. I happened to mention to the alignment shop owner that I was having new lowering springs installed in a few days. He said that he wished that I had said so before the alignment. I asked why. He responded that cars required alignment after replacement of the springs, that the settings would change. I told him that the manufacturer averred that no alignment was necessary when the new springs were installed. He said, "Thats B** S***! He asked that I bring the car back after the spring install, that he would check it. I did and he did. Almost everyone of the settings had changed, especially on the rear! The front settings were minor changes, but the rear were major adjustments! I watched the whole procedure, so I had to believe what I saw. Anyone purchasing new springs from this vendor needs to have this information. It could save them the early replacement of an expensive set of tires. The springs themselves perform as advertised, and the new stance of the Eclipse is great. I marked down the ease of installation rating even though it was done by a shop because I had to get two alignments done instead of one. Also, don't believe the vendor shipping date. They told me next day, but they werent shipped for a week. The CARiD folks worked real hard to save me some money on a large, multiple item purchase, and I appreciate that. But, if you buy these springs, get a wheel alignment after installation! Severe tire wear could result without an alignment.

The Front-End Is Higher than the Back
Since only one type of spring is made for the VW GTI in my case the front end is higher than the back end VW makes four different types of springs based on the model you purchase, it would be nice if Eibach would do the same or warn its customers before purchasing. FYI the four-door S model in my keys. The installation is average buying these springs are not any easier to install than any other spring the cost as far as I’m concerned is too high since they don’t fit. If you have a model that fits the springs properly then they would probably look great. I think 1 inch is perfect.

    Eibach Lowering Spring.
Got these for my 15 challenger RT. If your not trying to slam your car to the ground this is the perfect compromise. Gets rid of that annoying stock 4x4 stance.
