I have owned this bumper for two years. It gets light duty and has performed well under those conditions. However, today I decided to use the 2" receiver to pull a small trailer (1875 lbs with a tongue wait less than 180lbs). I inserted my ball mount and the hitch pin holes don't line up! What DV8 forgets to tell you is that while the bumper fits the JK fine, it makes it impossible to use any hitch mount unless it is custom made. The problem is the standard distance from the back end (Jeep side, not trailer side) of any ball mount to the center of the hitch pin hole is a standard 2.5" for all ball mount makers. But this bumper has a receiver that is too shallow making it only 2" from the end of the hitch mount to the center of the hitch pin hole rather than the standard 2.5". That means all off-the-shelf ball mounts are unusable because the hitch point holes in the receiver and the hitch pin hole in the ball mount don't line up! The bumper is fine as long as you never want to tow anything.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This bumper is junk, very poor design with multiple issues. 1st of there are no instructions you have yo use older model instructions to piece together. 2nd the adapter plate for license plate interfere with opening of the tailgate. Dv8 sent me a different plate which still didn't work, i had to send them pictures and tell them how to fix it which they did and sent out 2nd adapter which still technically dont work with the led light they sent with the first plate. 3rd the nut that fastens the swing arm was missing from the kit which is apparently a known issue. 4th the replacement nut they sent does not fit inside the bumper so you can get a wrench or socket in there to fasten it. 5th you cannot use this tire carrier with stock rims the offset doesnt work. 6 the paint is already chipping and i had the bumper less than 2 months. 7. I finally got my lift and tires installed there was a delay getting my lift due to covid. The 37 maxis trepador tire and fuel rim is bending the plate. Swing arm cannot support the weight so 40 tire advertisement is a lie. The tire carrier visibly vibrates driving down the road and makes the most annoying noise. While dealing with DV8 directly my return window closed and now DV8 does not answer my emails. Save yourself time and aggravation do not purchase this sub par bumper that had absolutely no engineering involved during design process. Go with another brand this was worst experience ever.

This bumper is killer. Exact fit and easy for one person to install. Nice fit and finish.

The bumper design and finish are superb. Ups damaged the bumper but DV8 sent touch up paint very quickly. The bumper is sturdy and mounts without trouble. I was able to install it by myself.

Great looking heavy duty bumper. Installation took about an hour and a half by myself and most of that was just making sure everything was perfectly square.
