Duraflex® - GT-R Style Fiberglass Hood (Unpainted)

So to start things off I will say it looks pretty badass. I was pretty hesitant to purchase it at first since no one really bought it or reviewed it except for one other person. The hood doesn't fit exactly to the body lines of the car. The hood sits a little higher in the front side and it is noticeable. The underside of the hood is not that pretty to look at either. The fiberglass is harder to paint since it's more porous than metal. The shipping of the piece was about an extra $100 so keep that in mind. Make sure when you get the piece that it is in absolutely perfect condition because it's harder to go back over and fix. Also you are going to take off the original locking mechanism for the hood latch due to fitment, so it will still lock down I just wouldn't leave it like that. Also the windshield washer nozzles won't fit so you might either have to modify the hood or completely remove them. I bought AeroCatch hood latches for the hood as extra security (They also look badass lol). Overall if you are looking to replace your Z4 hood this is a great alternative and makes your Z4 stand out.

So basically I got the hood and I think it looks great with the hood closed, when you look on the underside though the hood is super ghetto looking but whatever, anyways the only surprises I had was one, the mounting hardware I had on my original hood did not fit the new hood, that being said the new hardware ls mounting bolts were too small to use without going out and buying washers. Soo kinda butthurt that they gave me some bullshit hardware in the kit, and I had to go buy some washers cause the bolts wouldn't be large enough to fit the stock mounting brackets of the BMW Z4, Also when I close the hood it does not go all the way down flush I checked and I need to do some sanding down of the edges so it'll sit flush with the quarter panels, and another thing with the windshield washers the holes they have pre made are pretty small too small to fit your stock windshield washers so you're going to have to get some sand paper and sand down a big enough area to fit your stuff. Again just surprised I wasn't aware of so I figured I'd tell you guys, but once I trim down the sides and get some good pins to keep it flush and not popping up then it's gonna be sweet and that's why I'm mainly happy about it, cause it's all minor overall I'm happy, I thought it was gonna be flimsy but nah.
