The model shared the Chrysler PM/MK platform with the Jeep Compass and the Chrysler Sebring and came outfitted with a 1.8L inline four-cylinder power plant good for 150 hp paired with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Caliber was one of the first Dodges to be marketed in Asia, Europe, and Australia. This model was popular on the market – there were almost 450,000 units sold overall only in the U.S. In 2012, the Dodge Caliber was completely dropped being succeeded by the Dart.
