We offer a variety of hand-held performance tuners for OBDII compatible vehicles from 1995 through today. They provide software upgrades to your vehicle's main control computer (ECU) that allows remapping of engine timing to create more horsepower suitable for performance driving, different fuel mixtures to achieve higher economy, transmission shift points to make towing easier, and parameters that suit vehicles built for racing. Some tuners are capable of reprogramming the vehicle again should ECU software upgrades be lost or erased – however that takes hundreds of miles of driving for all parameters to fully set. Some tuners do not offer this capability, and many software upgrades come in the form of a one-time only loading by an outside shop. Once it's erased, it's gone.
