Universal Powered Converter Wiring Kit (55152) by CURT®. 15-amp systems. Color: Yellow. 20' of 12-gauge cross-linked wire with installation hardware. When your vehicle does not readily provide an electrical connection for hooking up your trailer, CURT electrical converts offer the solution. A CURT electrical converter, much like custom vehicle-to-trailer wiring harnesses, provides a trailer connector on your vehicle by slicing into the vehicle's electrical system. Electrical converters are designed to splice directly into the taillight wiring, rather than plugging into various sockets, giving them the nickname "taillight converters". Though it requires a little extra work compared to a custom wiring harness, a tail light converter offers a reliable, long-term connector solution.

This Limited Warranty is not transferable and does not extend or apply to anyone else. Each of the warranty coverage periods runs from the date of purchase of the product (proof of purchase is required) and applies only to warranted defects that first occur and are reported to CURT within the applicable warranty period. CURT retains the right to determine to its reasonable satisfaction whether any claimed defect is covered by this Limited Warranty.

Certain items are excluded from Limited Warranty coverage by CURT, and this Limited Warranty coverage does not apply to:

Wear and tear from normal use, including damage from road debris
Improper product selection, application, installation or maintenance
Modifications, including the attachment of other hardware or components
Misuse, abuse, overloading, improper trailering or hauling, accident
Corrosion or damage due to environmental conditions

CURT has no responsibility or liability for any incidental or consequential damages, such as loss of use of vehicles or trailers, towing charges, storage charges, tire damage, labor and service charges for removing or reinstalling products, loss of or damage to personal property, or interest or finance charges, all of which are specifically excluded and disclaimed from this Limited Warranty.

So Easy

Old converter went bad. Installation was simple. Cut wires, matched colors, used butt connectors, taped, done. Product works great.

2025 Chevy Trax Trailer Wiring Hook Up

Recently purchased a 2025 Chevy Trax and Installed a Trailer Hitch and needed a plug and go Trailer Harness, I bought the Curt T-Connector which was a perfect fit and also included all necessary connectors and directions, you will need to purchase the plastic tools to help in the removal of components in back of trunk to gain access to car harness to hook it all up, after hook up I plug in trailer to car and all lights worked perfect, its a good clean set up.

Easy to install

This is replacing one that I installed about 5 years ago and quit working. I wish it would have lasted longer but the fact that it is plug and play made the replacement not so difficult.

Wired backwards?

This item appears to be wired backwards. At the end that plugs into the vehicle with the clip side up the wiring, from left to right, should be white, brown, green and yellow. It is actually green, yellow, brown and white.

Very Easy Installation and Use.

Between the instructions provided and information on YouTube, the installation of the T-Connector is easy. For testing, installers should buy a flat-4 cable (LED) tester; they only cost a few dollars. The only criticism that I have is the self-tapping screw provided to secure the earth cable. It didn't at all look fit for purpose.
