Features

The CURT A-series is named for its articulating head design. The hitch head is built on a patented cast yoke that offers a stable, quiet ride, even with large 5th wheel trailers.

This 5th wheel hitch uses a cast yoke with poly-torsion inserts to absorb road shocks and vibration as well as reduce annoying towing noise from the trailer.

This A-Series hitch features a fully articulating torsion head that provides an extremely stable connection, while still being able to move and flex with the articulation of the trailer.

The A-Series 5th wheel hitch comes with alignment pegs on the legs that are easy to attach to the body using convenient mounting bolts.

The A-Series 5th wheel hitch head features high-strength, interlocking cast jaws that fully wrap the kingpin to minimize chucking noise and enhance towing security.

This CURT 5th wheel hitch features a three-position color-coded indicator that indicates the status of the connection so you’ll know when the hitch is coupled, uncoupled, and ready to tow. It’s visible from the cab of the truck, promoting faster and easier coupling.

The CURT A-Series hitch easily mounts into any industry-standard 5th wheel base rails using the included 5th wheel legs.

A16 5th Wheel Hitches Head with OEM Legs by CURT®. Whether you are towing cross-country or hitting the family campground, 5th wheel trailers offer superior comfort, towing, and construction. Combine these amenities with a Curt Inc. 5th wheel hitch and you have the most well-designed, problem-free rig on the road!
In addition to its single-throw handle and cast yoke head, this 16K 5th wheel hitch comes with a three-position coupling indicator. The indicator is visible from the cab of your pickup truck and eliminates the need to get in and out of the truck cab to check the connection while coupling or uncoupling. The A16 also has an extra wide head to make coupling even easier, one-pin head removal to make it simple to move the hitch, and a GTW rating of 16,000 lbs. to tow a variety of 5th wheel trailers. Like the other CURT A-series hitches, the A16 is coated with a durable carbide powder coat finish. This particular A16 hitch comes with a set of CURT OEM puck system 5th wheel legs, designed to be mounted on a Ram long-bed pickup with the truck bed puck system. Using a set of quarter-turn anchors, the legs quickly and easily drop into the pucks, instantly mounting the A16 hitch and equipping the truck for 5th wheel towing. The anchors feature an adjustable design to perfectly lock the hitch into place and eliminate any chucking noises, and the legs are finished in a durable carbide black powder coat to be highly resistant to scratches, rust and UV damage. These legs are only intended to fit the Ram puck system and cannot be installed without it.
5th wheel hitches are by far the most trouble-free, easiest to hook up, and sweetest-towing rig on the road. Because the hitch is centered over the rear axle instead of four to six feet behind the axle, crosswinds and pavement irregularities that affect the trailer don’t affect the pickup nearly as much. Much like receiver hitches, 5th wheel hitches use an industry-standard rail system so they can be moved to a different truck, or removed temporarily to use the bed for normal hauling.
