Product Details

Elite™ Gatorback Drive Belt Tensioner Pulleys by Continental® ContiTech™. Continental Elite™ pulleys are designed to install and operate as well as OE components. They're manufactured to original equipment material specifications, form, fit, and function to ensure reliable performance, long-lasting durability, and ease of fitment.

In the automotive drive belt system, pulleys ensure that the belt travels effortlessly under proper tension and finds its correct alignment. Though idler and tensioner pulleys are identical in many ways, they function differently. The idler pulley is a guide component that directs the belt path. The tensioner pulley is a spring loaded part that holds the belt tight. If you need a quality replacement for the worn out pulley to bring the drive belt system back to life, Continental Elite™ is your premier choice! You can't go wrong with Continental Elite™ as it carries OE-equivalent idler and tensioner pulleys that look, fit, and function exactly as the factory parts and are made of the same material.

For optimal performance, pulleys should be replaced with those manufactured with the original equipment material selection. Using plastic pulleys instead of steel ones and vice versa may result in premature part failure. If your stock pulley is made of plastic, Goodyear offers pulleys manufactured from glass reinforced thermoplastic for optimized dimensional control and running surface durability. These pulleys feature service-free, sealed, molded-in ball bearings for perfect fit and durability and precise dimensional tolerance for optimal operation and long service life. If your factory pulley is made of steel, Goodyear will have you covered with pulleys manufactured from precision stamped steel with electro-deposited coating (e-coat) for effective corrosion resistance. These components feature close tolerance ball bearing pocket and crowned running surface allowing for proper tracking of the belt.

Auxiliary Drive Belt
The quality looks good. It was not hard to install watch the YouTube videos on this but you need to buy a torque angle gauge.

Timing Belt Kit
I liked the price as it was cheaper than most belt kits. One of the belt pullys was defective though. Made my engine growl and flap once the engine got warm. Hopefully they will warranty the part and send me a new one "and possibly cover some of the installation cost".

SUBARU Timing Belt Kit - '03 Bugeye WRX
No issues with shipment and no damages either, as it arrived clean, pristine and on time. All parts exactly as pictured, no issues with fitment. Be sure to also buy a thermostat as that item is sold separately. The belt came with the timing markings precisely pre-marked so it made installation and alignment a breeze. Be sure to not mistakenly remove the sticky foam from the tension pulley bracket, as that is not the 'Z' shaped gasket from the kit. I made this mistake, but quickly noticed my error, and removed the bracket to re-fit the sticky foam. This foam sits between the lower side of the tension pulley bracket and the top side of the water pump. Also, don't be scared when the cam sprockets jump out of rotation as you remove the old belt. This may happen on the driver side and is a normal occurrence. Just be sure to rotate the cams according to the manufacturer's guides when re-aligning.
