Most drivers know the Chrysler Newport as the entry-level full-size model manufactured from 1961 to 1981. However, the nameplate takes its roots in 1941, when it was given to the Chrysler Newport Phaeton, a roadster concept car with only five units produced. In 1949, the Newport name was used again to define two-door hardtops in the lineup. In 1961, the Newport came back again as the most affordable Chrysler, it was available as a sedan, hardtop, convertible, and station wagon. The model was very popular, being the bulk of Chrysler production at that time.
A component without which you would hardly be able to open your car door is a door handle. It is used frequently, therefore, may break down over time and could require repair. Sometimes, if a door does not shut and lock properly, the problem is not with a handle, but with a door latch assembly. More to the point, if an external door handle is broken, the interior door handle is likely to be faulty as well. Keep this in mind when maintaining your doors and we will take care of proper replacement parts for you. Our store supplies premium Chrysler Newport doors and components sourced from leading aftermarket manufacturers, such as BTP, Crown, and Dorman.
