Chrysler automobiles have earned the respect of millions of auto owners by being efficient, safe, and stylish. But just like with any other car, the Chryslers need part replacements from time to time. Some parts have a limited lifespan, and some only need a replacement if they get damaged in an accident. The hoods are an example of the latter. They can serve you for decades without any need of a replacement, but they can also get completely totaled in an instant. If that has happened to you, know that there is no turning back – you need to purchase and install a replacement hood as soon as possible.

When choosing an appropriate hood, the first step is to select your Chrysler’s model and year. This way, the Chrysler hood you purchase will be of perfect size and shape for your vehicle. Once you’ve passed that step, there is a plethora of other criteria you can use to choose your ideal Chrysler hood. You can select from an original stock replacement or a custom hood. You can choose from hoods crafted from steel, fiberglass, carbon fiber, or composite materials. The choice is all yours!

Hood Pins | Definitions, Selection, and Installation
Hood pins are a great-looking style element that can be added easily to any vehicle. But did you know they actually serve an important purpose? These pins keep the hood buttoned down in the event the main latch should fail - preventing the hood panel from flying open at speed. This often happens after accidents, that's why many racetracks require hood pins to be fitted on competition cars.

Hood Hinges & Springs | Replacing Your Hood's 'Weak Link'
No matter what size your car or truck is, its hood is one of, if not the, largest, bulkiest, and heaviest body panels on it. Hoods are fastened to the body structure either near the windshield firewall or at the very front - using hinges and brackets designed to pivot and support the weight of the hood fully once it's opened.

Replacement Hoods: Easy Sheet Metal Work For The DIY Gal Or Guy
The hood panel of your car or truck is an integral part of your vehicle, and one of the first things people see when they look at your car or truck. When a hood panel isn't 100% right, there's no hiding it. And if you've got a classic from your youth, you are not going to feel good about your ride when sheet metal is compromised - especially a hood panel. Unfortunately, it doesn't take much to damage a hood panel. Any vehicle that's seen a number of miles is bound to have some kind of wear and damage to its engine lid. Statistically, accidents are most likely to result in front-end vehicle damage where hood panels are crinkled beyond repair. Hits from the side can be just as damaging, because left or right fenders usually always push into the hood panel.

      Replacing Your Jeep Body Tub
When it comes to automotive restoration, experts in the field say you'll have better luck and spend the least amount of money when you start by finding the best example of the year and model you're interested in. Sound advice – however, finding a high-quality Jeep CJ5, CJ6, or CJ7 in original condition is not so easy to do. High-quality originals in stock condition are rare, and ones that are command extremely high prices due to a widespread and fanatical fan base. Jeep enthusiasts themselves uniformly agree it's harder than ever these days to find one that hasn't rusted into powder form, been chopped and modified the wrong way, or been bent badly during off-roading.

If you find yourself in this unfortunate predicament, don't panic. In this article, we'll cover how to get that hood open, and we'll guide you in performing the necessary repairs. We'll also discuss replacing gas strut supports if your vehicle uses them under the hood, trunk lid, or tailgate.

    Huge Difference
If you're looking for a great looking carbon fiber hood for a 300, then this is it. It looks great and really adds a performance look to the car. Some troubles (which I was expecting) included drilling larger holes for the windshield washer sprayers, drilling holes for the tubing for the sprayers, and the hood doesn't fit perfectly. So, if you're looking for something that has 0 flaws I wouldn't recommend getting an aftermarket hood. If you're willing to put in some work to get it to look good and work properly than I would recommend getting this hood.
