The Chevy SSR is a very distinctive convertible pickup truck, which was marketed between 2003 and 2006. Considering the unusual design of this model, the abbreviation for its nameplate was chosen not accidentally, as it means Super Sport Roadster. For two first model years, this pickup was powered by a 5.3 L gasoline V8 with the power output of 300 horsepower. In 2005, the SSR became more performance-oriented, and the power output was increased to 390 hp, as the vehicle used the same engine as the C6 Corvette. The exterior of this Chevy is peculiar due to the front fascia and fenders design and the vehicle also features a retractable hardtop.
