For Oil Catch Can Specific Info and why your engine needs one The Chase Bays Oil Catch Can HALF Kit for Chevrolet / GM LS V8 was designed to be a complete PCV Oil Catch Can Kit with LS specific Mounting Bracket, Hoses, Adapters, and Catch Can. A complete kit! It routes from the Oil Valley to Catch Can, then it properly recirculates the clean air using the intake manifold inlet. Our FULL AN Kit available HERE includes Bank 1 and Bank 2 valve cover vents that many people desire, especially with 500+ HP. However this works great for nearly every end use.
Many of our products are AN Hose and Hose Ends, this one however isn't. It is all top level Gates PCV specialty hose that is Oil and Ethanol safe. With fuel, oil cooling, power steering, and braking.AN Plumbing is a requirement for us. However with the Oil Catch / PCV / CCV systems we are content with push on hose. It is extremely simple to install and on many of our builds that we push beyond the limit it has proven sufficient. There is always room to go extra nice and do all AN which is way we make the kit listed above.but we feel its good to offer a more affordable and simple solution. The catch can mounts to the front of Bank 2 cylinder head which is free on most engines, but please double check you've got the room for it or another aftermarket part isn't using it (IE: pulley/tensioner). As you probably know there are dozens of variations of the LS engine that can conflict. It is your responsibly to use our photos and our install guide to reference your own setup. Given that the catch can clears, it will fit ALL LS variations since it is push on hose.
