Fuel Pump Wiring Harness by Carter®. This wiring harness is built to OE specifications and is used to replace the wiring within the hanger assembly. It features top-grade wire, insulated with ETFE grade covering and utilizing tin-plated brass wire terminals for superior corrosion resistance and improved durability.
Poor electrical connections often give the appearance of a failed fuel pump and cause misdiagnosis. In case of a fuel delivery issue, it's a good thing to inspect the electrical wires and connections and perform a voltage drop test to find the root of the problem. For repairs with known wiring issues, Carter supplies you with premium quality wiring harness manufactured to original equipment specifications. This product includes wire insulated with “ETFE” covering for excellent resistance to corrosive fuel blends. ETFE, or ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, is a polymer highly resistant to corrosion and temperature extremes, with superior chemical, electrical, and radiation resistance properties as well as high melting temperature. Tin-plated brass wire terminals ensure improved conductivity and corrosion resistance. The cover connector and pump connector are made of glass-filled nylon, resulting in increased rigidity, dimensional integrity, and longer service life.
