The Cadillac Brougham is a large luxury car marketed in North America from 1987 through 1992 across two generations. The nameplate was first used by Cadillac in 1916 as a designation for an enclosed passenger sedan able to accommodate up to 7 occupants. Later on, the Brougham name was reappearing occasionally as a name for optional packages for various Cadillac models. In 1977, the Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham appeared, but in 1987, the “Fleetwood” was dropped, so the Brougham became an independent model.
