It's a little known fact that the Century's name came from Buick's desire to build a car that could reach 100mph on the highway. They decided to use some good ol' British slang – as Brits call the 100mph mark “doing the century”. Thus the Century was born and the rest is history. If your trunk (or rear deck lid as it's often called) has fallen victim to a rear end collision or ghastly corrosion damage, you don't have to rush to your OEM dealer or the scrapyard to find a replacement.
Dealers rarely have this part available and if they do, they'll make sure your wallet feels the sting. Scrapyards are okay if you have no other options, but always remember that rust almost always starts undetected below the painted surface before it's visible to you. Goodmark has “new” trunks and trunk accessory parts that you can use to restore your Buick Century. They use corrosion-resistant, factory-approved metal sheeting to form a trunk that looks exactly like your original did. No fabrication of any kind is needed to make their parts fit – they're finished to OEM specs, using the same 1mm or thicker metal, and then finished with a protective primer coat before being shipped to your door.
