Do not use impact wrench/gun to torque cam gear to camshaft
Torque cam gear bolt to 22 ft lbs
Aftermarket cams are chilled cast and require a lesser torque value than the OEM/factory steel cams
If using aftermarket gears, make certain the cam gear bolt is able to engage 3 to 4 threads into the body of the cam
Thicker gears will cause the cam bolt to only engage the threads in the snout, increasing the chance of breakage
Requires kit BC0010 or BC0010S

Product Details

Stage 2 Camshaft Set (BC0012) by Brian Crower®. Normally Aspirated Specification Hot street/strip or road race spec Use with CAI, H, E, ECU, A/F mods Excellent street manners and idle quality BC high performance camshafts are ground on state-of-the-art CNC cam grinders to insure accuracy and tolerances to within .02mm. Every BC camshaft profile has been prototyped and dyno tested for proven horsepower results prior to being placed into mass production. By grinding cores in high volume, Brian Crower, Inc. is able to pass the cost savings on to the end user. All BC cams are checked on a high speed, sub-micron accuracy measuring gauge.

All BC cams are checked on a high speed, sub-micron accuracy measuring gauge. The Adcole Camshaft Measuring System uses individual measuring heads for each cam journal and cam lobe, with .01 micron resolution, taking one datum point each 1/10th of a degree or 3,600 data points per revolution. Measuring camshafts for rise error and chattermark detection, this model can measure 200 parts per hour.
