Better Built Tool Boxes

Established in 1989 and headquartered in Pensacola, Florida, Better Built was off to a good start. It kept straining every nerve to provide truck owners with quality and extremely durable Better Built tool boxes, which made the company one of the most popular original aluminum truck tool box manufacturers in the USA. Nowadays its product line is extended with steel tool boxes, ramps, tanks, safes, racks, and accessories appreciated for great utility.

To make the manufacturing process easier and quicker, Better Built keeps developing high-end technologies that increase quality and durability of every Better Built truck box. The company has an active social life, annually unveiling its innovations to the general public and enthusiasts at SEMA shows as well as taking part in various other shows and exhibitions. For instance, Better Built performed its products at the Sunbelt Ag Expo annually hold in Georgia.

Thanks to its top-drawer products manufactured using the latest technologies, the company won a number of prizes including several Vendor of the Year Awards, acquired a lot of followers all around the USA, and is never going to rest on its laurels. Despite the fickle nature of the aftermarket, where a company can be 'in' one day and 'out' the next one, Better Built won't rust away and will keep providing buffs and everyday drivers with first-class tool tower boxes, trails, truck loading ramps, replacement keys for Better Built boxes, quantum racks and ATB boxes, etc. Whatever Better Built truck tool box you choose, you will get the ultimate in quality and value.

Nice Tool Box
I put this on a 2019 Tacoma. It only fits because I have a rack and bed rails that raises the functional bed height by 2". It was a pain finding all the measurements, but it works well. Latch mechanisms are good. It's rugged enough and it really is low profile. I attached it with custom (long) bolts into specialty slugs in Toyotas trac-system. I got the slugs on Amazon.

Crossover Tool Box Review
This box is just what I was looking for: compact, yet still capable of carrying stuff that needs to be protected. Two comments are applicable to this product. 1. The recommended Better Built Grip Rite Mounting System is totally worthless. The system is nothing more than cheap plastic that breaks under cold temperatures and normal service conditions. Avoid this mounting system unless you have lots of money to squander on worthless junk. Stick with metal tiedowns. 2. Under backroad conditions, the lid has magically opened, even though it was locked closed. There is something that is inherently unreliable with the latch system. Other than the two comments above, the box seems to be as advertised. As for recommending this box, I'd rate it as neutral.
