Baldwin Filters’ design incorporates a removable, all-metal, self-venting drain valve into the filter’s assembly for full compatibility with OE designs. All OE drain valves, sensors and bowls may be used with the Baldwin design. Baldwin’s design removed the OE raised "keys" to allow universal fit on multiple OE fuel bases.

This makes filter installation easier as no alignment to the mounting head is necessary. The metal drain valve adds versatility of use on both standard and marine applications. Baldwin’s removable self-venting drain valve is standard on these filters; however, the filter can be used with the Baldwin drain or removed for use with the OE sensor or bowl.

Baldwin Filters, Inc. ("Baldwin") warrants that each new product manufactured by Baldwin will be made free of defects in workmanship and material.

Warranty Fulfillment

If Baldwin finds that a product does not meet the warranty stated above, Baldwin will promptly replace the defective product.

Conditions

Baldwin's warranty fulfillment obligations above do not apply if:

a) the product is not sent to Baldwin for analysis

b) Baldwin finds that the product was not defective

c) the product was improperly installed or used

d) the product was re-used or not replaced inside a normal service interval

e) the product is tampered with or damaged in a manner that may inhibit Baldwin’s ability to conduct a warranty investigation.

The above warranty and warranty fulfillment obligations are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties or related remedies. Baldwin is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages arising in any way from the products it manufactures or sells.

Heavy Duty - Results Can Be Seen

While not the most scientific method possible, can confirm that my engine oil stays cleaner, longer whenever I use a Baldwin filter during an oil change. Baldwin starts with a heavier metal can and mounting plate - huge difference when you pick up a Fram or even Wix Gold. And unlike many filter manufacturers, Baldwin follows SAE testing protocols instead of making up ones just to make their filters look good. Wix (Mann&Hummel) do this by using a 25 micron rating rather than the SAE 20 micron one to make their filter look more efficient.

Baldwin Oil Filters Are The Best

Baldwin outperforms other national brand oil filters by a bunch. They are competitively priced and don't lose "oil pressure" after a few thousand miles like the oil filters that have "plastic" pressure valves.
