OnStar Retention Interface (GMOS-05) by Axxess®. If your vehicle has OnStar, you can still install an aftermarket stereo and retain OnStar's safety and convenience functionality by using an Axxess OnStar retention Interface.

Notes

If the vehicle is amplified either use the GMOS-09 interface or bypass the amplifier. If bypassing the amplifier follow the Axxess Interface Amp Bypass Schematic document.

This interface is designed to allow the user to replace the OEM radio with an aftermarket unit in amplified or non-amplified GM vehicles and retain full functionality of the OnStar system as well as all safety and warning chimes. This interface has the capability of adjusting chime and OnStar volumes as well. The Interface may also retain the retained accessory power convenience features. Some Axxess interfaces may also have the required outputs for the installation of a navigation radio.

Warranty

Axxess warrants its products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 90 days. The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered.

The warranty is granted to the end-user and applies to products which are purchased, installed, and used for the purposes for which they are originally designed. This warranty covers defects arising under normal use and does not cover malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, or incorrect maintenance.

During the warranty period, Axxess will repair or replace, at no charge, a product that is defective in materials or workmanship. Axxess reserves the right to either repair or replace a defective component at its discretion and reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product under the terms of this warranty.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act:

Excellent Service

Axxess® GMOS-05 - OnStar Retention Interface

The product does what it is suppose to. I was nervous ordering from this company because I had never heard of it and the price was 40% less than everyone else.
