The first introduction of the Aston Martin Virage occurred at the 1988 Birmingham Motor Show. The model was created as the replacement for the Aston Martin V8. It had a two-door 2+2 coupe body style and was equipped with a 5.3L 32-valve V8 engine and either a three-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox. A four-speed automatic transmission became available after 1993. The production was ceased in 1995, but in 2011 the company presented a new version of the Virage. Apart from a coupe, it was also offered in a convertible body style. The model was powered by a 5.9L V12 engine which delivered 490 horsepower. Since 2012, the Virage is out of production.
