Product Details

Engine Torque Strut by Anchor®. Designed utilizing the latest technology, this product by Anchor features premium quality and will perform better than advertised. Perfect for your vehicle and lifestyle, it is manufactured to meet or exceed stringent industry standards.

An engine mount supports the engine and keeps it in proper alignment with other vehicle components. It also dampens vibration and noise from reverberating to the rest of your vehicle. Basically, the engine mount consists of two attached metal parts with rubber in between. One side of the mount is attached to the engine, while another side is bolted to the frame of the vehicle. When the mount goes bad, it can cause various symptoms, including vibration that can be felt in the passenger compartment, noise, and in extreme cases, binding in accelerator and/or shifting linkage and component damage due to engine misalignment. If you need to replace your engine mount, Anchor offers you the product that is a direct replacement for the factory part but costs less. The Anchor engine mount will look, function, and fit exactly the same as the original.

Manufactured using premium materials and CAD/CAM engineering process, the engine mount features the OEM quality you want, the fit you need, and the performance you expect, all at an affordable price. Made to specific Durometer measurements, both natural and SBR rubber provide excellent abrasion resistance and aging stability. Anchor uses a special Chemlock bonding agent to ensure a perfect rubber-to-metal bond. The engine mount includes hardened steel fasteners with heat-treated Grade#5 bolts. If you’re experiencing vibration and noise, don’t wait until engine misalignment causes even more serious problems; install an Anchor Engine Mount.

Great Quality
I was shopping for a while and saw some dubious-looking parts. It was a relief to not only find Anchor (their specialty) but at great prices. It was a good move.

What a Difference!
I took out the old motor mount and swapped for this. The price alone is worth it. The original motor mounts were redesigned to be more durable, but at a price of $280 were a bit costly. I opted for this part, which came out to about $53. Install was easy, just make sure the engine is fully supported! I don't recommend you do it the way I did it, which was using a hydraulic floor jack and an old college textbook but it worked for me! After engine is supported, remove air box from grommets to access the bolts. Using an e14 star socket you'll want to remove the bolts from the engine and chassis. Exercise caution when removing bolts from the engine, if you see engine starting to shift, you'll want to bolt it back down and adjust the jack to support it better. When you have the old mount removed, just replace it with the new mount, replace and secure the new bolts, and replace your air box.

A Needed Replacement
Having rebuilt the engine it was time to check out the engine mounts. Though they still looked good showing only a slight cracking, I decided to stay on the safe side and I ordered new one. It is alway better to play it safe. Anchor is a company that I have used over the years and thrust their products.

Part Fits Fine. Time Will Tell on the Quality.
Installation was fairly easy. There are no instructions and as the base piece needs to be bent around the body side mount bracket, recommendations on how to bend in correctly would be useful (I clamped together with a c-clamp to hold the bracket and mount in place, then used a plastic mallet to bend over the flat tab. I followed this with a 3 lbd sledge and pounded it between two blocks of wood. Worked fine without damaging the rubber). Part fit on the bracket without issue and then bolted to the timing cover without issue. Good fit. Quality wise, this will be hard to tell. The original Ford/Mazda mounts only lasted 5 years or so, and the aftermarket I used last time lasted since 2011. These mounts were poorly designed by Ford/Mazda, so I don't expect them to last a long time anyways. If I get 5 years than that will be success in my book.

Nice Fit
I was going on a 1500 mile rode trip in my s430 Mercedes. Dering a oil change I noticed a bad motor mount bought these because they could be delivered in two days. I was pleased, they fit perfectly and they seem to work very well.
