Despite being a relatively new brand, American Force Wheels has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a local Miami wheel manufacturer. When it first opened its doors in 1995, it mainly built custom wheels for import and domestic vehicle owners in South Florida and almost exclusively dealt with sports cars. Although always on the lookout for new opportunities, it wasn't until 2003 that the owner Ray Shadravan decided to go into truck wheels and started creating 3/4-ton and 1-ton truck conversions to showcase their innovative wheel designs and catch on with the desired target market quicker.

Shadravan also hired his friend Robert Martell as the General Manager. Initial sales were steady but never spectacular, until 2005 when hurricanes caused damage across Florida. The influx of good Samaritans helping out with the cleanup efforts and subsequently making their way to Miami to relax is what gave the brand the break it needed. Many of the truck enthusiasts noticed Shadravan's conversions and soon word began to spread like wildfire.

Before too long, American Force Wheels was receiving orders both from newfound fans of theirs who had been in Miami around the time of the cleanup, and others who were starting to notice their designs. The philosophy that style and functionality are inseparable has made American Force Wheels a cult favorite and enthusiasts continue to gravitate to its blend of good looks coupled with utility that can lead to a longer tire life.
