A Few Things Amiss.
Possibly unique to a 1996 (and maybe a 1995): The middle screw hole is drilled about 1/4" too far to the left. This results in you having to drill two holes in the frame instead of just one. The supplied 9/64" drill bit is only good for drilling one hole before going dull. You will need to buy extra bits. When drilling the far left screw hole you will need an angle drill as the door does not open far enough to allow use of a standard drill. A stubby screw driver will be needed because of the same tight clearance. I realize that the instructions are a bit universal, but how much trouble would it be to add notes about different interior trim? The instructions say to remove the screws on the carpet on the door and replace them with the supplied screws in order to pull the carpet back for additional clearance for the sill. A 1996 does not have carpet, it has a plastic panel of which the screws are canceled behind plastic plugs. I found it unnecessary to make any modification to the door panel as the door closes just fine.

Polished Door Sills with Thunderbird
Excellent product. Workmanship is excellent. It looks beautiful when installed. Installation is simple but you need to heat with a hairdryer after installation to obtain maximum sticking ability.

Great Item
These are very nice. Glad I paid the extra money and didn't order the cheap plastic kind. My installation in a '96 convertible was a little different that shown. First, the space between the door and where you are supposed to drill the hole is too small for me to actually drill the hole. As a result, mine were attached using only the two existing holes, and there were no screws in the door that had to be replaced. It was a very easy two screw installation that (so far) appears very secure. Great product!

Ok
The door sills fit well, but have small bubble in the lettering that wasn't visible till after installation and protective plastic was removed.

Great Product, None Quite Like It!
These are a great addition to anyone modding their Mustang with polished SS or chrome. They're the 1st thing you see when the door opens & what a difference over stock! These are of show Quality & the installation was easy. I'm very happy with these!
