Modular Intake Tube by AIRAID®. More airflow to your engine will result in better throttle response and more horsepower and torque. This air intake tube can increase airflow to your engine by as much as 400 CFM! It can be added to an AIRAID Cold Air Dam QuickFit series system.
Factory air intake systems are a compromise between intake noise, underhood space and engine airflow requirements. Flow is initially restricted by the OEM air filter in the factory airbox, and then airflow is further restricted by the OEM air tube. Factory air inlet tubes have sound baffles and make awkward bends. You can solve part of the problem by installing an AIRAID Modular Intake Tube (MIT).
The AIRAID MIT is computer designed and dyno tested to give your engine less restrictive breathing, incorporating larger diameters and unique bends that can't be duplicated with metal ducts. It "straightens out" the airflow to your engine, increasing it by as much as 400 CFM over the restrictive, stock intake tube. The MIT is made of cross-link, high density polyurethane, which is less affected by engine heat than steel or aluminum tubing.
Each MIT is custom made for the specific application and all are compatible with stock airboxes as well as AIRAID intake systems.
