Classic Air Intake System by AIRAID®. This air intake system is computer designed and dyno tested to provide the maximum airflow to your engine, resulting in more horsepower and torque, and improved performance. It takes the place of your factory air filter box and air intake tube, and includes the AIRAID air filter for superior airflow and filtration, and a mandrel bent intake tube to further improve the airflow. The open air filter and powder coated intake tube will also enhance the looks of your engine bay.
Installation
AIRAID may call this air intake system "Classic", but don't think there's anything outdated about it. The system installs in place of your OEM air filter box and air inlet tube, and it's computer designed to provide maximum airflow. And maximum airflow means more horsepower, torque and improved performance. But AIRAID doesn't rely on design alone; they dyno test their designs and fine tune each system for maximum performance and efficiency.
The increased airflow starts with the AIRAID SynthaFlow or SynthaMax air filters. Each is over 99% efficient, meaning it allows more airflow while filtering out dirt particles ordinary filters let pass. You get better performance without sacrificing air filtration.
The SynthaFlow filter is a cotton-gauze and synthetic blend that outperforms plain cotton-gauze in clean air testing. The SynthaFlow features "five layer" filtration, with 4 layers of cotton-gauze supplemented by "the last layer of defense", a layer of synthetic media that produces the cleanest air of any washable filter. The filtering media is held together by epoxy coated aluminum wire mesh, specially designed to provide the optimum balance between maximum airflow and peak filtration.
The SynthaMax filter is 100% synthetic, with an inner filter media consisting of two distinct layers of specifically designed synthetic materials that have separate performance characteristics. These layers are designed to work together to provide outstanding airflow and exceptionally high filtration. Contaminants are first captured by the outer layer of synthetic needle felt polyester material, designed for wet and dry filtration with high airflow capacity. The inner layer of rayon/polyester captures any remaining contaminants while maintaining high airflow and low restriction. The inner filter media is supported by an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for strength and durability.
From the air filter, airflow is channeled to the engine through a mandrel bent, powder coated air intake tube. The shape of the tube is computer designed for maximum airflow, but AIRAID also powder coats both the outside and inside of the tube to further increase flow. And you'll love the way the AIRAID filter and powder coated intake tube enhance the appearance under the hood.
