Product Details

Magnum Force® Cold Air Intake Induction Plug by aFe®. This plug installs in place of the resonator on a GM Duramax diesel engine air intake tube.

The resonator on a GM Duramax diesel engine is supposed to suppress turbo noise. However, it can crack and allow dirt to enter the engine, and its bulky appearance sticking out of the air intake tube isn't very attractive.

Many have tried removing the resonator and plugging the hole with a universal plug from the local home center, but there's always the risk that something not specifically made for the application could come loose and be sucked into the engine. Don't endanger your valuable engine like this!

The aFe resonator plug is specifically made to fit into the resonator hole on the Duramax air intake tube. Now you can remove that resonator and forget about it.

Massive Air
With twin turbos you need massive amounts of air. So, I installed the aFe cold air intake with separate filters and tubes for each turbo. I spent the extra money for the 3.5 inch tubes to maximize the air intake. It seemed to me that spending a little extra for a larger air scoop just seemed logical. It looks great and really kind of completes the overall look. To say it was easy to install just doesn't cover it. Very simple one bolt and 2 snap clips and it slips right in. For the price you just cannot go wrong.

A Must Have if You Buy the CAI
This is a must have item if you purchased the aFe Momentum CAI. Easy to install!

2017 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve
I recently purchased and installed the Momentum GT cold air intake. I also added the intake air scoop. It was extremely easy to install and adds not only to the look but the functionality of the intake. Positions perfect under hood to capture maximum air. Would definitely recommend adding this scoop if buy the intake.
