Product Details

Dual Chamber Air Intake System by AEM Intakes®. The Dual Chamber Air Intake system uses a patented design that creates multiple frequency sound waves in the intake tube to charge the cylinders with more air. These systems typically make even more power than AEM's Cold Air Intake systems.

When you want the most horsepower and torque possible, the AEM Intakes Dual Chamber Intake system is the only way to go. AEM Intakes performed extensive research and testing with tube lengths and diameters during the development of the Dual Chamber system. They found that by using two different diameters and varying the length of the tubing, they could create multiple frequency sound waves that could charge the cylinders with more air than would be possible with a conventional system. In fact, they found that tube length was so critical it was not always possible to locate the Dryflow air filter outside the engine compartment. On these vehicles, the company performed extensive temperature testing to locate the filter in the coolest area of the engine compartment to achieve the lowest air inlet temperature possible. Like all AEM Intakes air intake systems, the AEM Intakes Dual Chamber Air Intake system is made in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty.

Every AEM Intakes air intake system comes with the innovative, oil-free, high-flow AEM Intakes Dryflow air filter. Each Dryflow filter is engineered to exceed the normal flow capacities of the engine it is required for when clean, while providing outstanding filtration and dust holding capacity. And the flow requirements are exceeded by a wide margin, which allows you plenty of leeway for engine breathing modifications, without needing to worry about having enough intake airflow. The AEM Intakes Dryflow filter is constructed of a unique non-woven polyester-based filter media supported by aluminum screen wire for rigid structural strength. This filter media doesn’t require oil to filter and trap dirt and contaminants, and actually sheds dirt under engine vibration, unlike cotton-gauze, which holds onto contaminants until you clean the filter. When it’s time to clean, simply tapping the filter a few times will remove most of the dirt from the filter pleats. Then spray the filter with AEM’s environmentally friendly, mild, all-purpose cleaner. Rinse the filter with clean water and allow to dry, or blow dry with compressed air. Best of all, the Dryflow filter requires no oiling, so there’s never a chance of over-oiling. The Dryflow filter is extremely durable and will withstand almost unlimited cleanings.

Prelude CAI
Got this for my 1998 Honda Prelude with the F20B blue top. Easy to install, fit perfectly with no issues. Instructions were straight forward. Nothing too crazy performance wise but it looks good in the engine bay, and you can hear the whistling sound when accelerating. Definitely recommend if you have a factory stock intake.

Dual chamber CAI
I was excited to get my first performance part in the mail. I can really feel the difference and the sound is amazing, although I'd like to try an AEM short ram intake. I heard the SRI has better throttle response.

AEM Intake
Put an AEM cold air intake on a 2017 Pilot and it throws a check engine light when it's cold out. Comes and goes.

Of Course It Makes a Difference!!
When I bought my 4Runner I asked him about a cold air intake, and he shook his head no. I know now that the guy was stupid! This cold air intake is a tremendous change from the stock air intake. The response is a lot faster, and it sounds like it! Next: A MagnaFlow system!

Best Decision I've Made
I bought the gray intake and it looks fabulous on my gray 4Runner (3rd gen SR5). The much faster throttle response I noticed immediately. The instructions were easy to follow and the fit was spot on. Now for a high flow catalytic converter and muffler!

Perfect!
Easy assembly, it looks mean, and beefy.

Super Easy Installation With a Few Draw Backs
The only hard part about installing was getting the ac fuel line disconnected. I was driving down the road and my check engine light came on so I went and got it checked and it said my engine was running lean.
