Product Details

Brute Force® HD Diesel Air Intake System by AEM Intakes®. Engineered to be durable and deliver the maximum in airflow and filtration to heavy-duty diesel engines. Helps diesel engines burn fuel more efficiently and may help reduce exhaust gas temperature, exhaust smoke and oil contaminants caused by unburned fuel.

Probably no engine is more sensitive to proper airflow and filtration than a diesel. Insufficient flow caused by restriction or a dirty filter can cause exhaust smoke and excessive emissions. Adding an AEM Intakes Brute Force HD Diesel Air Intake system to your diesel truck or SUV can ensure that you never encounter these problems. The system begins with an oil-free, high-flow Dryflow air filter that is engineered to dramatically out-flow the engine’s requirements and deliver excellent dust holding capacity. Compared to the standard nine-inch Brute Force Dryflow filter, the HD Diesel filter features over twice the filter media surface area and utilizes deep pleats to improve dust holding capacity and increase cleaning intervals. The filter is connected to a mandrel-bent, lightweight high-flow intake tube that delivers the intake air to the engine. The intake tube features high-strength dogbone brackets and dual rubber soft mounts, to ensure that the system lasts under heavy-duty operating conditions. AEM’s quality-first manufacturing processes enable it to offer the Brute Force HD Diesel Air Intake system with a lifetime warranty, and like all AEM Intakes air intake systems, it’s made in the USA.

All AEM Intakes Brute Force air intake systems come with the innovative, oil-free, high-flow AEM Intakes Dryflow Brute Force air filter. The Dryflow Brute Force air filter is engineered to exceed the normal flow capacities of large displacement engines, while providing outstanding filtration and dust holding capacity. And the flow requirements are exceeded by a wide margin, which allows you plenty of leeway for engine breathing modifications, without needing to worry about having enough intake airflow. The AEM Intakes Dryflow Brute Force filter is constructed of a unique non-woven polyester-based filter media supported by a lightweight mineral-reinforced plastic cage. This filter media doesn’t require oil to filter and trap dirt and contaminants, and actually sheds dirt under engine vibration, unlike cotton-gauze, which holds onto contaminants until you clean the filter. The plastic cage helps the filter retain its shape, eliminating the chance of the filter collapsing from flow demands. The Brute Force filter is a favorite of racing teams competing in rough, dusty conditions. Cleaning is easy; simply tap the filter a few times to remove most of the dirt from the filter pleats, then spray the filter with AEM’s environmentally friendly, mild, all-purpose cleaner. Rinse the filter with clean water and allow to dry, or blow dry with compressed air. Best of all, the Dryflow Brute Force filter requires no oiling, so there’s never a chance of over-oiling. The Dryflow Brute Force filter is extremely durable and will withstand almost unlimited cleanings.

Cold Air Intake
I received and installed my air intake. I do believe I have more power but have not gone anywhere to check the m.p.g. I believe, it will pay fore itself after 5 oil changes on air cleaner replacements alone. Thank you. Steven.

Brute Force HD diesel intake
This was eazy to install myself, the product came quickly and looks great undwer the hood of my Dodge Ram. The sound is perfect too, not loud and obnoxious. I would recomend this upgrade to any Diesel owner looking for some more flow for better mileage and a few extra HP. down low in the RPM.

Prelude CAI
Got this for my 1998 Honda Prelude with the F20B blue top. Easy to install, fit perfectly with no issues. Instructions were straight forward. Nothing too crazy performance wise but it looks good in the engine bay, and you can hear the whistling sound when accelerating. Definitely recommend if you have a factory stock intake.

AEM Intake
Put an AEM cold air intake on a 2017 Pilot and it throws a check engine light when it's cold out. Comes and goes.

Of Course It Makes a Difference!!
When I bought my 4Runner I asked him about a cold air intake, and he shook his head no. I know now that the guy was stupid! This cold air intake is a tremendous change from the stock air intake. The response is a lot faster, and it sounds like it! Next: A MagnaFlow system!

Best Decision I've Made
I bought the gray intake and it looks fabulous on my gray 4Runner (3rd gen SR5). The much faster throttle response I noticed immediately. The instructions were easy to follow and the fit was spot on. Now for a high flow catalytic converter and muffler!
