It’s a well known fact that cooler air is denser and contains more oxygen. Cooler engine air inlet temperatures result in more power. Every AEM Intakes air intake system comes with the innovative, oil-free, high-flow AEM Intakes Dryflow air filter. Each Dryflow filter is engineered to exceed the normal flow capacities of the engine it is required for when clean, while providing outstanding filtration and dust holding capacity. And the flow requirements are exceeded by a wide margin, which allows you plenty of leeway for engine breathing modifications, without needing to worry about having enough intake airflow. The AEM Intakes Dryflow filter is constructed of a unique non-woven polyester-based filter media supported by aluminum screen wire for rigid structural strength. This filter media doesn’t require oil to filter and trap dirt and contaminants, and actually sheds dirt under engine vibration, unlike cotton-gauze, which holds onto contaminants until you clean the filter. When it’s time to clean, simply tapping the filter a few times will remove most of the dirt from the filter pleats. Then spray the filter with AEM’s environmentally friendly, mild, all-purpose cleaner. Rinse the filter with clean water and allow to dry, or blow dry with compressed air.
