Advance Adapters began its official journey in Downey, CA in 1971, when it created a single adapter, mating a Muncie car 4-speed to a Jeep Dana 18 transfer case. The big demand for this product furthered the expansion of the company’s product line. In time Advance Adapters realized the need to enlarge its space and moved to Talc Street in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The new location gave the company possibility to complement the product line of adapters with new additional components, such as headers, motor overdrives, mounts, and linkage brackets.

Advance Adapters leads the way in designing and manufacturing top of the line powertrain and 4-wheel-drive aftermarket products. Through the years of its award-winning history, the company has developed many superior products packed with advanced features and functions. Following the goal to meet the diverse needs of its customers, Advance Adapters offers a comprehensive product line that runs the gamut from first-rate transmissions, auxiliary gearboxes, radiators, and lift kits to top-quality transfer cases, adapters, motor mounts, and engine accessories.

In 1977 Advance Adapters decided to move to California and picked the small town, Paso Robles, situated on the Central Coast of California, where the company bought 3 acres and built its new facility that became the home for Advance Adapters for the next 15 years. There the company launched the winch business, which later was stopped because of the extremely growing popularity of the adapters and need to produce more and more products. At the end of 1995 the 4WD industry turned to rock crawling. Though Advance Adapters offered many options for good, low ratio transmission swaps, the diehard 4-wheelers wanted more. So, in 1989 the company decided to open the ultra-low gear transfer case business, which resulted in advanced product line that found wide acceptance. In 6 years Advance Adapters felt the need to move forward.

In 1998 a new facility was engineered and constructed in one of the newest industrial parks in Paso Robles, which today is considered to be one of the most up-to-date machining and manufacturing facilities on the Central Coast. Occupying nearly 44,000 square feet, the facility comprises all fabrication, production, and administration. At the beginning of 2017, Advance Adapters sold controlling interest to First Nation's Capital Partners, LLC (FNCP), the investment firm that is aimed to sponsor and promote the development of Native American majority-owned enterprises in traditional industries. Honored to merge with FNCP, Advance Adapters plans to continue provide the same superior quality and reliability products it has been known for during many years of its existence.
