The Acura TL (acronym for Touring Luxury) was a mid-size luxury sedan introduced in 1995 as a replacement for the Acura Vigor. Even though the first-generation TL was visually related to its predecessor, it introduced a more aerodynamic and elegant body shape. The rigidity of the chassis, performing powertrains, and a beautifully fitted interior made the TL a perfect choice for long journeys. In 1998, the new Acura TL was introduced, improving the overall potential of the TL and preparing the way for the two following generations, respectively launched in 2004 and 2008. Eventually, the TL became a successful model, showing a strong personality, with a gorgeous styling and an impressive road stance. In 2014, the model was eventually discontinued, replaced by the Acura TLX.
