The Legend became the first flagship sedan in the history of this Japanese automobile brand. The first generation of this vehicle debuted on the North American automotive market as a sedan, powered by a 2.5L V6 engine capable of 161 horsepower. So, the Legend by Acura became the first serial model by Honda offered with a V6 powertrain. A coupe was released a year later, receiving a 2.7L 161-hp engine. In 1995, the Legend was discontinued in favor of the Acura RL.
