Largely based on the ninth-gen Civic, the Acura ILX became the first hybrid vehicle by this brand using both gas and electricity for its operation. To put it more exactly, the hybrid version with a 1.5L I4 powerplant (the same as in the Civic Hybrid) is just one of options; the ILX is also available with the standard gasoline engines 2.0L and 2.4L.
