The production of the Acura CSX was launched in 2005 (for the 2006 model year). It belonged to the class of entry-level luxury cars and was constructed as a four-door sedan. The model featured a front-wheel drive layout and was powered with either a 2.0L K20Z2 I4 or a 2.0L K20Z3 I4 engine. A manual transmission was offered in a five- or a six-speed variant and an automatic five-speed one was available as well. The manufacture of the Acura CSX came to an end in 2011 – its market place was taken by the Acura ILX.
