Founded in 1965 by entrepreneur Alan W. Lund, Lund International fist began making accessories for light trucks in the 1970s. Today Lund is one of the world’s leading automotive accessories providers. Lund’s extensive product list includes ventvisors/side window deflectors, bug shield/hood protectors, tonneau covers, tube steps/running boards, tool boxes, and premium floor liners, all American made at factories right here in the USA.
In 1998 Lund acquired the Auto Ventshade Company (AVS), and today Lund and AVS ventvisors and hood protectors cover and protect more vehicles than any other brands on the market. The Lund Ventvisor Elite sets the standard for ventvisors with its patent-pending in-channel mounting design, thicker, stronger, and more durable construction, superior optical clarity, and sculpted, rounded edges with handcrafted finish.
The Deflecta-Shield Corporation merged with Lund in 1997, and today that company’s excellent line of storage boxes, bed protection products, and running boards are marketed under the Lund brand. All Lund tool boxes are manufactured from heavy-duty, thick wall aluminum, with smooth seam welds and polished or diamond plate finish. Each box is designed to make the contents safe from damage by the elements and secure from theft.
Lund expanded its line of products to include interior protection when it acquired Nifty products, a design and manufacturing company for custom molded floor mats, trunk and cargo bay liners, in 2002. Today, the Catch-It and Catch-All lines of premium floor protection as well as the Cargo Logic system are marketed under the Lund brand. Catch-It all-weather and carpeted floor liners are custom molded to exactly fit the contours of your vehicle’s floor.
