Not easy to install yourself. You will need a powerful drill to install the self tapping bolts. I had a powerful 1/2 in drill, but still had trouble. Rear end of van had to jacked up just to make room for the drill. I also found it easier to use a hardened tap bit (metric) to create the threads for the self tapping bolts. Install the two forward bolts first, then the four self tapping bolts last.

Great service and fast shipping. Got it in less than 24 hours. Installation would have been a cinch if I didn't have to drill 4 holes in the frame. I'm sure it had something to do with being an RV frame. Looks great, love it!

It's like this, the round parts were round and the square parts were square. It worked exactly as expected, this entire mass of square and round parts is securely bolted to the vehicle and a ball mount bar slides into the 2" square tube, locked in place a horizontal coupling pin, preferably a locking design, not just a 25¢ pin or nail. These coupling pins will rust and get stuck over time. Go ahead and mentally prepare for this fact. Sometime in the future you will attempt to remove this pin and it will not move at all, until the point it comes out easily and quickly and you bust the crap out of the back of your finger or hand against some sharp, protruding, nonsoft, immovable object usually 5-10" (12.7 -25.4 centimeters in Canada) behind your hand...alright, I warned you. The trailer ball (correctly sized for your trailer, keep in mind some people have hitches with bigger balls, it doesn't mean anything about their ability to grow beards or skydive, don't be silly). The ball attaches to the most rear protruding part of that bar, which may or may not be included with this receiver. But stay with me it, I'm trying to paint you a picture here. Seriously, in life we have the opportunity to spread the wealth of unnecessary information to folks who read things all the way to and, like product reviews and granola bar ingredients. This hitch is gluten free and is 100% free of anything that might be considered 1% of the majority. Always back using your mirrors, not by turning your head and neck, learn the proper way of turn your wheel the direction you wish the trailer to go and for the love of Uncle Bob don't over correct. If you ever find yourself in a back alley on a box truck with Vinnie yelling, "Come on back, and don't over correct" you will be glad you have a song in your heart, a hitch that is secure, and a friend for life, like a 2" Curt hitch that follows you everywhere you go.
