Weapon-R® - Stealth Secret Weapon Aluminum Flat Black Short Ram Air Intake System with Black Filter

Absolutely unimpressed with this intake. It’s a complete pain to install, requires you to take off the front bumper. Has no hole for a temperature sensor, causing a check engine light. A day after I installed it gave me four misfires of the five cylinders. Took out the intake and the filter was full of water and I only drove it in light rain. Could hardly tell the difference after I put it in, except for a little deeper noise, when above three thousand rpms. I would try the Injen, or the aFe because it comes with a box.

Performed, sounded, and looked, as promised. My Lancer has a little over 260,000 miles an it definitely gave her back that pep in her step. Speedy delivery considering the circumstances.

Only complaint I have is the tubing they gave me was different from what is advertised, but other than that it sounds good and it fixed my rough idle problem!

This weapon R air intake works like a champ on my 2003 Baja!. First I will start with I am zero mechanically inclined with Automotive anything but disclaimer aside the install was pretty simple. The only thing that wasn't accurate was the air sensor hole that needed to be drilled on the Ram Air tube for the 2003 modes of the Baja. It is a 3/4 inch hole you will have to drill not 3/8 so make sure you have a BIG bit handy. Other than that the actual performance up grade to the Baja is noticeable! It Mans up the exhaust sound without making it obnoxious and gives the non turbo model a little more lower end torque. You have to let the Baja warm up a little (don't rev the RPMS for a couple minutes) or you can get a check engine light and will possibly need a code reader to clear it. But it does not create a catastrophic event just a pain in the A**. Along with a small lift kit and this air intake it gives the Subaru Baja the needed something that was lacking 20 years ago!

Awesome product. Everything fit perfectly. Engine noise did not get any louder, but throttle response has improved and engine revs quicker.

Reading my MAF sensor at redline with the factory air box then the Secret Weapon intake, there is no appreciable difference in the amount of air entering the engine. My car is an automatic so my 0-60 and quarter mile times are very even. There is again no appreciable difference between stock and the Secret Weapon. My stock air box had a dirty air filter in it. The only good thing is the very sweet and powerful sound the intake makes. It's not worth the $270 price of the intake. Your money is better spent elsewhere. I emailed Weapon-R and told them about the lack of extra air flow and the unchanged 0-60 and quarter mile times. They asked me to send pictures of my install and evidence of the lack of extra power. I asked what evidence would be acceptable and they quit responding.

Is this real? If I buy this it's illegal?

Worked well had mine for about a year, until it recently just crumbled apart when taking it out to clean it one day. The cone (other than the mesh) that the intake filter is inside of is made of plastic and after a year of hot and cold days that plastic got brittle and broke. But for that year I had it, it worked well sounded good and I noticed a bit of a difference afterwards.

No complaints, works as advertised. You'll save on gas if you just drive regular which is hard to do with this baby on.

Purchased for my 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE. There were a few things like drilling holes for the OEM MAF fitting, and bending the bracket piece so it would be more stable on the frame (although I think I was just missing a piece). Otherwise, this intake makes the car sounds way better and really accentuates the deeper tones in the engine for a more masculine sound. As far as performance, I'm only going off the way it feels, obviously, there is not much improvement in lower speeds/RPM, but at higher speeds this kicks some serious butt. Downshifting at 60 to overtake on the freeway used to mean about 5 seconds before I actually get enough speed to pass, but with the new intake, it takes way less time, and I sound cool doing it. I would recommend this product for budget to mid price builds, or just for a better sound/ high speed/RPM improvements.
