Love aFe Intakes
This is my 3rd aFe intake from CARiD. Easy to install and built well. I went with a cheaper intake from carid.com and regretted it right away as it had major design flaws. Replaced with aFe and now enjoying the extra HP, a little better mpg and the sound this makes when taking off is awesome.

Great All-Around
I got and installed this a few months ago, so I had some time to check the difference with before and after. Installation, I have to say was pretty easy over-all. Some things were not super clear, but I think that if you can function without every single detail on instructions you should be fine. It might have took me about 30 minutes for complete install, that is including running back and forth for tools that were missing or I forgot the first 50 trips. The sound. So, it is air intake...but it does not really sound any different when sitting still. Could not tell you how many times I have had to explain that to people, but there are always those few. Once it gets warmed up and moving, really notice it after 1/4 throttle and it does roar nicely. Power and performance. So, I did not really have any measure of it before to compare it to..so that is on me there. I will say it did seem to throw off my cruise control a little to where instead of a 1-3 MPH difference/drop it is more like 2-4, so nothing real big there but can be annoying in traffic. Might have a dash more hesitancy too while it sucks in that extra air. I got it as a relatively cheap all-around upgrade while sounding nice, it does the job. I will say, I was not able to get my engine cover back on after, but I also did not toy with it much. I might be able to after some added adjustments, but not with the quick connecting.

aFe Intake
Great quality, very pleased with the performance but a little tight on the fitment. Overall it’s a great product.

Very Well Made
Obviously this is way more open than the factory intake. Expect more engine noise and of course you can finally hear the turbo. I installed this on my 2016 Colorado diesel. The truck does react faster and definitely seems happier now that it can breathe. This intake is well made and fits perfectly. It took me about an hour to install. Mainly just a pain to reach the turbo.

This Costs More Than What the aFe Website Says. Why?
Why does it cost more on CARiD than it does on aFe? I already bought the one off here and can't figure out how to cancel. Oh well. I'll rate it good though.
