Mitsubishi Eclipse 2004, Oil Pan Sealing Compound by AJUSA®. Silicone sealant is used as a "gasket replacement" when there is no gasket called for between two components by the vehicle manufacturer. Quick-curing Ajusil is often used to seal water pumps, oil pumps, oil pans, and valve covers to the engine — and in some cases, transmission pans to the transmission. It is also designed to work in a wide operating range from -76°F (-60°C) to 572°F (300°C) and be resistant to oil, water, antifreeze, gas, and a wide range of greases.
