Product Details

Lexus ES300 with Twin Throttle Body 2002, Dragon Aluminum Polished Short Ram Air Intake System by Weapon-R®. Weapon-R Intake Systems are CNC Mandrel Bent out of 6061 aluminum, and then Hand Tig Welded to ensure a positive seal and proper fitment. Each one of their intake systems is carefully tuned, by matching the engines displacement, air intake capacity and airspeed to the intake systems tube size and length, maximizing every engines performance output. This Intake is matched with company World Famous Dragon Filter, which provides maximum airflow, with the protection of high quality dense Poly Urethane Foam.

Any aftermarket air intake system should improve airflow over the factory system, but by how much? You don’t have to wonder with Weapon-R! Weapon-R dyno-tunes its Dragon Air Intake Systems to match the engine’s displacement, air intake capacity and airspeed with the proper intake tube size and length. The result is the maximum amount of airflow and maximum engine performance. The Dragon Air Intake tube is manufactured from 6061 aluminum, CNC mandrel-bent to the precise shape and then polished to a mirror finish. The intake tube is then matched with Weapon-R’s famous Dragon air filter for maximum airflow.

The Dragon Air Intake System was rated “Best Overall Performer”, outperforming cold air and short ram intake systems, in the 2003 Tuner Performance Reports, Intake System Battle.

Every Dragon Air Intake System comes with everything necessary for installation including comprehensive instructions.

Weapon-R® Ram Air Kit II turns your air intake system into a Ram Air Intake. The Ram Air Intake brings cooler air to your intake system. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen and cooler engine air inlet temperatures result in more power. Furthermore, the Ram Air tube is made from a high temperature fire resistant plastic, to resist heat soak which robs horsepower from your engine. The Ram Air Kit is easy to install. Just connect the hose to the top of the air filter, mount the velocity stack in the lower part of the grille and attach the hose.

Weapon-R® Dragon Filter Heat Shield. Complete your filter installation with the Dragon Filter Heat Shield. This Shield bolts directly to the top of the Dragon filter and completely shields the filter from any heat to create additional horsepower. You can also attach the hose from the Ram Air Kit to the top of the shield. The Dragon Filter Heat Shield is made from heat resistant plastic to help resist heat soak.

07 Corolla Short Ram Intake

Only complaint I have is the tubing they gave me was different from what is advertised, but other than that it sounds good and it fixed my rough idle problem!

Baja Upgrade!

This weapon R air intake works like a champ on my 2003 Baja!. First I will start with I am zero mechanically inclined with Automotive anything but disclaimer aside the install was pretty simple. The only thing that wasn't accurate was the air sensor hole that needed to be drilled on the Ram Air tube for the 2003 modes of the Baja. It is a 3/4 inch hole you will have to drill not 3/8 so make sure you have a BIG bit handy. Other than that the actual performance up grade to the Baja is noticeable! It Mans up the exhaust sound without making it obnoxious and gives the non turbo model a little more lower end torque. You have to let the Baja warm up a little (don't rev the RPMS for a couple minutes) or you can get a check engine light and will possibly need a code reader to clear it. But it does not create a catastrophic event just a pain in the A**. Along with a small lift kit and this air intake it gives the Subaru Baja the needed something that was lacking 20 years ago!

Great Product

Purchased for my 2003 Nissan Maxima GLE. There were a few things like drilling holes for the OEM MAF fitting, and bending the bracket piece so it would be more stable on the frame (although I think I was just missing a piece). Otherwise, this intake makes the car sounds way better and really accentuates the deeper tones in the engine for a more masculine sound. As far as performance, I'm only going off the way it feels, obviously, there is not much improvement in lower speeds/RPM, but at higher speeds this kicks some serious butt. Downshifting at 60 to overtake on the freeway used to mean about 5 seconds before I actually get enough speed to pass, but with the new intake, it takes way less time, and I sound cool doing it. I would recommend this product for budget to mid price builds, or just for a better sound/ high speed/RPM improvements.

Love The Way It Looks In My Eclipse

First and foremost, I love the way it looks. Gives my bay a more devious scenery that i’m trying to go for. I got it in the gunmetal color which came out nice. Though they didn't give me the proper couplers. Seems like they gave me the Galant couplers instead of the 3G Eclipse ones so now its sitting kind of funky and also forcing itself against the battery a tad bit. I’m going to use my old coupler after I paint it black for now so no biggie.
