Product Details

Dodge Dakota Without Factory Fender Flares 2000, Black Tread Mud Flaps by Dee Zee®, 1 Pair. Location: Front or Rear. Protect your fenders behind wheel well areas against rock chips and hardened deposits that build up from road tar, grime, mud, and slush with Brite-Tread Mud Flaps by Dee Zee. Aircraft grade aluminum construction with stylish diamond tread pattern ensures resistance to cracking, warping, or corrosion even under the toughest conditions.

Installation

Whether you drive your vehicle on smooth roads or unpaved trails, the paint on your fenders behind wheel well areas is subject to a constant onslaught from corrosive and messy debris picked up from ground surfaces. Tar and oils from newer pavement can discolor paint, gravel and other debris sandblast your rocker panels leaving visible chips of all sizes, and globs of tar and paint softened by the summer sun can end up on your vehicle where they harden and become impossible to remove. Worst of all, there are the extremely corrosive agents found in salty winter slush that start the rust process. Dee Zee offers real protection from these destructive elements with their aluminum Brite-Tread Mud Flaps. A choice of universal sizes exists in order to provide you with the width best suited to your vehicle or trailer.

Only durable, airgraft-grade aluminum is used by Dee Zee to make the Brite-Tread Mud Flaps, so they will stand up to anything without corroding or becoming tarnished. Should you desire to clean the mud flaps, a brush along with soap and most bug/tar remover solutions should restore them to new-looking condition. Installation is easy using the existing screws or bolts on your vehicle that hold wheel well liners in place. On some vehicle applications, a minor amount of drilling may be needed to fully secure the mud flaps. Installation may not be possible or may be difficult if your vehicle has fender flares or running boards with integrated splash guards already installed.

Pay For What You Get
Was not amazingly impressed by these bad boys. I loved the look of them on the pictures, they come in a fat black matte color. The mud flaps are a pliable metal which is good for fitting the area, however can bend a bit when driving down road. Still like the look however. Instructions were not helpful. The screws provided do not fully secure to my vehicle, had to replace with nuts and bolts that fit. Would probably spend the extra $ to get something nicer.

Product looks good but misleading. This doesn't fit the 2013 F150 Ecoboost at all, mismatched attachment holes. You have to drill new holes for the attachment to fit this...who would want to do that?

Nice splash guards. Screws did not 'bite' too good into the existing plastic wheel. Fit is very good though.
