The electric motor is sealed to full-immersion IP 68 standards, meaning you can safely wash the dirt out of the engine compartment with a hose after a little fun in the mud. If you are traveling more than 20 mph or so, air flowing naturally through the radiator is more than enough to keep your engine cool, even with the A/C on.
