Toyota 4Runner Bug Deflectors

When looking through our catalog, many of our customers tend to feel overwhelmed by the large range of products and their variations that we have available for purchase. Providing the highest quality and greatest diversity in our products have always been top priorities at CARiD, but we realize that it can be hard to make a choice when there are so many great options. In such situations, we advise you to first establish your priorities – what kind of accessory or custom part do you want, which price it should have, etc. You should keep in mind that many of the products we offer for the 4Runner have a single purpose, like improving its appearance or performance, but some parts have more than one function. The Toyota 4Runner bug deflectors we sell are a good example of the latter kind, and are worth checking out in the catalog if this kind of product interests you.

Bug deflectors are installed at the very front of a vehicle and alter the airflow around the vehicle, pushing incoming air and anything in it upwards, away from the hood and windshield. This is most useful for deflecting bugs and many other light objects, which keeps your windshield and hood safe from bug stains and scratches.

Guides & Articles
The idea behind bug deflectors is that by creating a stream of air upwards across the hood of your vehicle, that air will carry bugs past your windshield and protect it from being hit. Mounting a small, angled deflector on the front of your vehicle creates this airstream effect and sets up a defense against bug splatter.

Have had these on all of my trucks that i have owned most of my life, first SUV and i must admit it looks darn good, on the 4 Runner their is no drilling at all. Lift up hood, get on step ladder, put in 6 plastic plugs in holes already in hood, have someone help to hold up the bug shield until you get at least one screw on each side then you can do alone. The screws are metal material, the washer is a white plastic. Goes on easy and stays in place. The little dots have to go near the top of the bugflector on the hood, this is due to the very low profile of the BugFlector. When at highway speeds i notice very little movement at all from the wind going over the BugFlector.
