On March 17, 2011, J.D. Power posted the results of its annually held Vehicle Dependability Study. The Lincoln Navigator was among the examined vehicles and was named the leader in Large Premium Crossover/SUV segment. In total GM received four awards. Two out of four were brought by Lincoln's models.
This study from J.D Power is more good news for our customers. It affirms our quality operating system is one of the best in the world, said Bennie Fowler, Ford Group Vice President. Our Lincoln products and our Ford products aren't just the best at low time in service as we've seen year over year, but at higher times in service as well.
This award proves that the owners of the Navigators are satisfied with their vehicles. Vehicle Dependability Study is based on the drivers' responses. About 73,000 lessees and purchasers of the 2011 cars, trucks ans SUVs took part in the survey. All of them had to answer on more than 200 questions about their vehicles. The answers help the auto manufacturers to identify the problems and to improve their products.
